Well, its been awhile. Everything has been crazy with christmas and holiday visitors. I stopped smoking cigarettes 7 days ago. No incidents, no arrests...yet.
I am trying to clean out all the junk in my small house and trying to keep up with the crazy amount of snow we have been getting so far this winter. Another storm is headed our way tonight. My husky seems rather bored with it this year. He will be 10 in March. Mostly he is still pretty rowdy and loves to play in the snow. But when I'm home he would just rather be inside with me. My son was accepted to college. I have been trying to help him with his scholarship apps. but honestly they really expect kids to do community service and get As and have ohter activities in their life those people are full of shit. Kids don't have that much time unless they don't need the damn money. But we are going to fill them out. I hope he gets one or two for his abilities. Anyways .. gotta go life is calling.....

Pictures, Books, and Life

Well it's been a hell of a couple of weeks. First of all, the pic is my son. Standing in front of a train. My best friend's sister Michelle took the pic. Many actually as we were doing a shoot for senior pics. If you live nearby and want to check her out she has a website, www.zazzle.com/mbarkerphotos and her email Mbarkerphotos@aol.com Her website shows off her talent for sure. She does a wonderful job. She is reasonable, personable, creative and fun.
Next exciting thing is that after 7 years in California my Mum is coming home for good. Bad news is she moved out there with my little sister giving up a job of 35 years and selling her house only to be kicked to the curb when lil sis found an asshole (I mean guy). But her loss is me and big sista's gain. She can keep the looser but Mum won't be moving back when he's gone.
I have also been looking around the web for new things to check out, and I did find a link on urban exploring. Young guy, Justin. Really good at description and some history. Great pics. I'll add the link in so you can check it out.
I don't think I have mentioned that I am an avid reader of the spooky, creepy, mystery solving kind. I will be adding a book list to my site soon. I live in Maine. Matter of fact I live pretty close to the Stephen King. I have read many of his books and I do cherish each one, I have to mention that his son, Joe Hill, is also an exceptional storyteller!! He will be on my list too. (Also ladies, he is hot) While I feel a bit guilty to admit this being a SK fan, I am a bigger fan of Dean Koontz. I have almost everything he's ever written. I am missing "The Face" only because it didn't interest me. Recently I found a book called Creepers. It is about Urban Exploration. Can't remember the author, but it is a good read.

Kid rock for president

Hey it's Sunday!! I've been lounging and searching sites for half the day. I found some more cool stuff and went back to an old fav.--Lost destinations--and noticed something new.....it will be updated soon. Yay. This is one of the coolest places I have passed through ever online. I spent hours there checking out all the abandoned houses. The pics are amazing and they always come with information. I'm really looking forward to the updates.
Well last week I got calls after calls at dinner time from electoral polsters. Gotta say, I'm no fan. And I tell them so, sometimes not too politely. I really don't like sharing that kind of information with strangers over the phone. After all I use the curtain when I go to vote and they always seem to know who they are talking to because they asked for me by name. That just burns my ass. Because I believe that it is my right as a voter to pull the curtain and make my vote privately, (no matter how niave that sounds), I ask the callers invasive, private questions instead of answering theirs. It freaks them out. lol Where are you calling from, when do you get out of work? How about I call you back when you get home....come on give me your number and I will call you back during your supper. Next time they call I'm telling them I'm so sick of the polster calls that I have decided to write in my vote ---> KID ROCK for president.....lol.
So I went out Sat night to have a few drinks with a friend. Played a couple games of pool before I had to head back and pick up my son. We had a good time. Played doubles with a couple of men that were hanging out waiting for a table. We did ok for a couple of chicks.
ok so here is a sig line

Things I love

Today I went to polyvore.com to try this out. Somebody showed me this site and I thought it was only clothes, but it is really pretty cool. This pic is just a bunch of stuff I love.

I thought it was a good idea to put it all together, it kinda tells a story. I love vw bugs (no i don't have on yet), I love driving with the music on loud. I love kid rock. I love lava lamps and dragonflies. Etc....

I had another busy day and I think the rest of the week is going to get crazier.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet.....

So I'm exhausted and need to get some sleep.

Zombie mode

I am just getting back into the swing of things as the new year begins at work. It has been exhausting. Getting up at 4am and working until 230. I have not been on the pc for a while because by the time I get home I feel like the walking dead. Here I sit on Wednesday, back and arms sore, truly I wish it were Friday. I want to paint but I have enough day left to take in the rest of my tomatoes and herbs from the garden. Then I am going to fall into bed.
I have not been able to get out much since work picked up again, but I am hoping that will change this weekend. I need some night life. My evil twin needs to be exercised. I like her, she is fun. Maybe then I will have something to write about.

Don't Annoy The Crazy Person

Things have been busy since my last post. I am trying to harvest my garden little by little and some days I have been bringing in a little more than we can eat. Work is picking up and my muscles are really feeling it. I have also been fighting with a crazy neighbor. Someone I have done a great deal for in the past. At the same time I was snowblowing her driveway (all winter) or sitting with her mother back when she was very ill or being the dd, she was doing some pretty nasty things behind my back. So now because we both know I know what's up, she is doing other passive aggresive things. For example throwing her lawn clippings into my driveway. Of course I had to tell her to knock it off, cuz I really don't want to carry that into my house on my feet or have it in my yard, she completely goes hysterical and when I wouldn't play into it she has her 80 year old mother call me and rag me out. lol She is in the background yelling "i'm sick" and "come over here and say that", like she is gonna kick my ass. Talk about being greatful for good neighbors ha? Well I should have stopped helping when she started living off her mothers SSI and life insurance instead of working like any healthy responsible 40 year old. Her mother has not been sick in over 2 years and she had a really good job that she left cuz she says she is sick. Truth be told she is as healthy as me. But she doesn't want to work. I was over there every day (well almost) and she does all the things she claims she cannot do. O well, karma is a bitch.
Even with this going on, I managed to read a great book entitled "Creepers" by David Morrell. It is about urban exploring. It was a great read. Along with that my son returned home after working away for 2 1/2 weeks. We hung out and went school shopping. He spent most of his summer working construction so he was away alot.

This line suits my story well....
